MY LETTER TO THE EDITOR ABOUT COMMANDING A HEALING

To the Editor:
Nov 16, 2011
Obamacare has some competition; exactly what Obama did not want. I recently discovered that any Christian can command a healing in Jesus’ Name. We have traditionally prayed to God that God would heal the sick (as per James 5;14). But most healing in the New Testament was done by commanding the healing. Jesus, the 12 disciples, the 70 disciples, and the Christians in Acts did most of their healing by commanding the sickness to be healed. Carl Henderson is doing this type of healing in the Philippines, with an 85% healing rate. Sometimes, they go for weeks without a single failure to heal a person. There are free training videos at
The following is the basic info: Jesus was water-baptized and Spirit-baptized. He fasted for 40 days with no food at all. He began His Ministry with great power of God, healing the sick, casting out demons, and preaching the Gospel. The miracles confirmed the Gospel message. But many Jews and gentiles did not believe, because their hearts were hard. Only the Few believed and were saved from sin. Fasting may be necessary to minister with power from God.
Christ trained the 12 disciples and commanded them to do as He had done (Luke 9;1). Christ sent out the 70 disciples to do as Christ had done (Luke 10;1). Christ commanded His disciples to make other disciples "in all nations, to the end of the world", doing the same things that Christ had done. Which was 3 things, heal the sick, cast out demons, and preach the Gospel (Matthew 28;18-20). Today’s Christians know little about this type of ministry. We’ve never seen it done before. We lost it in the Dark Ages.
Christ has all authority in Heaven and earth. Christ gave all His disciples authority over demons and diseases. So we can command them, as a General commands his troops, or a man commands his dog.
Do this: Ask the person, "Do you want to be healed?" Lay hands on the sick part of his body. Don’t call on "Father", "Jesus", or "God" (that would be praying). Don’t close your eyes, don’t speak in tongues, don’t look up to Heaven, and don’t kneel, (that would be praying). Don’t call on God to heal. It’s your job to heal, just as it’s your job to preach the Gospel. Speak to the pain, sickness, injury, etc., and say "In the Name of Jesus, be healed, cancer! Leave! I rebuke the cancer, I cast out the sickness and pain, in Jesus’ Name!" Name the specific sickness that you’re healing.
The cancer will obey you, because you have authority over it, just as a man has authority over his dog. If you give any hint of praying, the sickness will not obey you, because you have indicated that you lack the authority over it. Most healings start quickly, but sometimes it is a process. With a stubborn illness, like Alzheimer’s, it may take an hour of commanding the healing. If the pain moves within the body, it may be demonic. Don’t attempt to cast out a demon, alone. Demoniacs have sometimes choked or struck the minister. The purpose of miracle-healings is to convince the lost of the Gospel, so unbelievers should be present for best results. God responds with the greatest miracles when the challenge is highest. The greater the risk, the greater will be the miracles. Christ loves to display His Power to heal, both physically and Spiritually. Don’t blame the sick if the healing fails; it may not be their fault (Matthew 17;17). If you use your faith (in healing), God will increase your faith, and your ability will grow. This type of healing is available at all times; Christ has told us to do it. Don’t wait for God; He is waiting for you to start. Your sin is an evil spirit; Cast it out in Jesus’ Name, and it will flee from you.
You can do this in most Churches, because most Churches have many unrepentant believers! Minister to the humble (homeless, poor), because Christ gives more grace to the humble. After the healing, remember to thank God.
Redemption from sin is the main goal. Relief from physical suffering is secondary. Physical healing is symbolic of Spiritual healing (salvation from sin). The Old Testament physical events were shadows and predictions of the New Testament Spiritual doctrines.
